Eikev

בס״ד

Eikev

The hornets will come, says HaShem Elokim,

And, they will be your artillery,

You’ll reduce them to rubble,

But you should still remain humble,

Since it’s I who will win militarily.

Your strength comes from keeping the words that I say,

The mitzvos, chukim, and mishpatim,

Hold onto them tight,

And when it comes to a fight,

All will be well with your Shvatim.

V'eschanan

בס״ד

 V’eschanan

Moshe pleads to enter the Land,

But, HaShem’s answer is “No”.

“Take a good look,

At the Land of the Book,

And enhearten Yehoshua to go”.

The Eser HaDivros and Krias Shema,

Are gifts from HaShem, and remember,

Though our People is small,

And He knows you will fall,

He will love you forever and ever.

Devarim

בס״ד

 Devarim

Moshe speaks to Am Yisroel,

His words chosen by HaShem,

And one lesson in particular,

He commands Moshe to give to them.

“The last time that you came this far,

To come possess The Land,

You got frightened off by ‘Giants’,

You turned around and ran.”

“But I let Ammon drive out ‘Giants’,

Because that’s what I chose to do,

So learn this lesson carefully…

I would have done the same for you.”

“So listen to all that Moshe says,

And move forward with Yehoshua,

Because, this Land is your Land,

It’s the ikar of your Ye-shua.”

Mattos-Maaseh

בס״ד

Mattos-Maaseh

The Tribes are split between The Land,

 And that of Ever HaYarden,

And those who are worthy to connect the two,

Are the children of Menashe.

How is it that this particular tribe,

Was chosen to hold us together?

Perhaps in the zchus of Mahlah, Noa,

Haglah, Milcah, and Tirtze.

The very ones who so loved the Land

And would not have their father slighted,

Are the very ones to be counted upon,

To keep our people united.

Pinchas

בס״ד

Pinchas

Tzlafchad’s daughters have the courage to speak,

To Moshe about portions of Land,

To honor their father,

They find it no bother,

To restrict to whom they give their hand.

And Moshe hands down to the Children he’s led,

HaShem’s commandments regarding Kor-bons,

Is this somehow related,

In a way understated,

To Pinchas, taking the Bull by the horns?
